Mattang-Manganak Elong Lesung is an electroacoustic music performance that reinterprets the agrarian ritual Mappadendang of the Bugis people in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Rooted in the traditional use of the lesung—a long wooden mortar used for pounding rice—this work transforms communal rhythms and oral poetry (elong) into a contemporary soundscape through live electronics and interactive visual design.
